Can hard water cause hair loss or hair fall?

Hi,
My hair has been dull and dry but also started to fall off. I did not noticed this at start but suddenly I suspected our water quality at home. Our water supply is very hard. Can hardwater cause hair loss? Or does anyone else experienced such issue.
