I love my brazilian blowout

I have been getting Brazilian for 7 years now and my hair has never bee nice healthier. Thick luxurious and longer and healthier than even when I was a kid. The product is not applied to the scalp like a hair color woulda be so I don't understand how this could possibly hurt the hair at the root. Just doesn't make sense to me how it could harm the follicle.
