The best way to trim extensions

I have short hair layered, it's long enough for extensions. I have 2 sets of extensions and was thinking I could cut 1 set to make it look not so drastic. What would be my best bet at trimming the extensions?

Treat it like normal hair

These days most quality extensions comes in human hair. The best way is to wear the extension and cut it just the same way you getting a haircut. Hair extension can be treated just like normal human hair. That way you get the lines, layers and structure aligned with your face. The result would look natural and blend nicely with your own hair. Use professional scissors to avoid rough or damaging ends. If you not feeling comfortable with scissors then go to stylist and they do it for you. Nothing unusual asking for extension haircut.
